Arizona Students to Attend SCI Youth Summit in Washington, DC – Meet and Greet in AZ

MESA, AZ — June 10, 2026 — Mesa Sister Cities is proud to announce that local student Sienna has been selected to represent both the City of Mesa and the State of Arizona at the upcoming Sister Cities International Youth Conference in Washington, D.C.

Sienna is one of only four students chosen from the entire state of Arizona for this prestigious honor. She will join fellow student representatives from Fountain Hills, Gilbert, and Sedona at the national event.

The selection highlights Sienna’s exceptional leadership abilities and dedication to community diplomacy. Key representatives from regional Sister Cities organizations have extended their congratulations and support for the delegation, including State of Arizona Sister Cities directors George and Donna Hartz; Christine Selman and Cheryl Laflen of Mesa Sister Cities; Elaine Kessler and Carmen Harrison of Gilbert Sister Cities; Tania Brown and Christine Colley of Fountain Hills Sister Cities; and representatives from Scottsdale Sister Cities.
