The Sister Cities Association of Sierra Vista just held its first Schnitzel Dinner of 2021 – the event was a huge success! We sold over 170 dinners at our local VFW. We love giving back to our community and our veterans with these events! Our patrons tell us that our dishes taste just like original German cuisine, which it is, as it is all made from scratch. We have about 10 German ladies cooking and are very proud of our relationship and the support of the culinary program and our Sister Cities Club at our local high school.
Now on the drawing board is our big annual event “Oktoberfest” in mid-September. Until then we will go into summer break, because our Sister Cities, Radebeul and Cananea decided to sit out another year and not start our exchange program back up until the fall of 2022. Our Sierra Vista members are eager to get moving again so we might have a surprise in store for later in the year.
